Eric Schulman / eas;
Security researcher, private non-disclosure exploit developer, free software activist & producer of darkness.
I'm a generalist with the x86 architecture. I enjoy all things low-level, reverse engineering, finding security bugs, hacking on GNU projects & working on artificial intelligent fractal learning agents. Check out my older AGI research here.
My hobbies include watching B-movies like TROMA films, listening to dark electronic beats & finding security bugs in computer software. This combination of things makes me smile.
about me
I'm a highly motivated & detail-oriented research scientist with an inquisitive, creative & integrative mind. My passion is in software freedom, exploitation and system intelligence. I enjoy programming in ansi c, ruby and the x86 assembly language. My best work is completed while using trisquel gnu/linux.
With my free time I study assembly languages, kernels, dynamical systems, artificial general intelligence, machine learning, category theory & combinatorics.
I dream of practical application transhumanism & total understanding of self -- as in concept of human-digital-interstellar connection. I chase this knowledge at all cost, searching both deeply synthetic & analytic for answers.
historic witchcrafts
I currently make bread writing cutting edge real-time data SIEM-type applications to increase the posture for a fortune 100 company. My code inevitably protects you.
While attending study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, I developed the LIBBY/MILO AGI framework. It's a neurolinguistic ADLP (Auto Detecting Language Primer) using computational psycholinguistics, machine learning and fractal search system in real-time. You most likely use the technology everyday without even knowing it!
I am the author of the GNU DSView KVM/IP avocent replacement released under GNU GPL, and the developer of the linux-libre intel wireless drivers. I am also a member & supporter of the Free Software Foundation.
open projects
I currently contribute to a plethora of projects, most notably the bleeding edge cloud-based binary static analysis product dubbed "malaware", the vocal artificial intelligence system "milo" and the fractal search system "libby".
I'm always optimistically looking for new and exciting projects to contribute my energy to. I aspire to create work which inspires and teaches while it entertains. Please contact me if you have an amazing idea and wish to discuss it's future in the digital realm.
